Epic Bloom was founded in 2010 with a simple but powerful vision: to create a safe space where young people could share their voices, address real challenges in their schools, and grow into leaders in their communities. Even our name—Epic Bloom—was inspired by a student, reflecting our belief that every young person is capable of greatness when supported by family and community.
From the beginning, we’ve been committed to nurturing creativity, developing leadership, and inspiring a spirit of service that extends beyond the classroom.
In 2011, we began working with local high schools—including Luther Burbank, Kennedy, Grant, and Valley—through leadership workshops and after-school support. By 2014, our partnership with Sacramento City Unified School District led to the launch of the Bloom Leadership Program (BLP), expanding our reach and impact.
As our community evolved, so did our work. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued to show up—supporting students and families virtually, strengthening partnerships, and creating spaces where voices could still be heard.
Today, we continue building toward the future, including the vision of Epic Bloom International Academy of Leadership.
